Alright....whewh... it's been two weeks with nothing but anime conventions XD There was a lot of goods and bads about it all!
Lemme start with good :
PROS: The people that I met while vendoring and such was the best! I mean, I never went out with strangers to have a fun night for dinner or anything, so that was awesome! and ALL OF THE ART TRADES AND fun times were pretty awesome as well
Plus, I'm just glad that people liked me enough to befriend me, and that people liked the products and items that I made while being a vendor c: that was all of the funs fun. Including seeing cosplays and raves, with some panels on the side c:. Another thing was that I got invited to go to some anime conventions in Michigan XD Maybe it will work out.
CONS: I honestly think there were more cons sadly than what I could see good :/ Since my family's printer
died, I had to buy my own printer, which took up some money by a lot - and that's bad, because I have some major college issues to worry about. I also had to buy sticker adhesive to make stickers
, along with the paper
them on. Money went down the drain. My time in Toledo for the Glass City convention was bad. Not only because business was slow, but because I stayed the night at a very uncomfortable place- ...was not pleasant at all. This week was just a downer for the fact that I didn't think business would be bad at the convention I was at, but it was slow for the fact I was placed at a spot that did not have as much traffic as I would of liked it to be. So more money sadly went down the drain. I did make a decent amount, but due to a recent event in the past, I have to give the money away. It's just the way it is sadly. I went into this stuff thinking I'd make some money, but I really came out with nothing :/ which stinks. It makes me wonder if I should try at bigger conventions, but my fear is that this thing or debt may happen again. Sorry for the vent. I just needed to vent this stuff, it's very frustrating. Especially when I thought these conventions would be able to help me with some money for college. (I needed a new phone, and now I won't have the money even for that, I'll just have to wait until I can find a job around my colllege. I leave in less than two weeks. I guess I thought that this the previous years I've been vendoring, that it wouldn't be slow this year. To be honest, I believe it's because of the lack of advertisement.
But yeah. LOTS of cons. Lots. I'm not sure where to begin to gain some money back before I'd leave XC
But yeah, that's all that' been happening in the last two weeks. Hopefully this week I'll get everything packed and ready to be off x-x maybe I can apply to some places. Blaaaahhhhhhdaksldjsadsakjsadjsak. Wish me luck! Thanks for listening!
